Christine, Natalia, and I decided to dye our hair yesterday. The plan was that I would have honey colored highlights and Christine and Natalia would go dark on the bottom half and blonde highlights on the top. It all started out well and good:
We decided against a cap for me but when I put it on, Christine just had to get a picture because my hair was really poofy and it just looked funny! We decided to go with tin foil instead.
Gangster! And this is getting ready for the foil. It seemed like a kodak moment!
Waiting for it to dye
Now it was Christine and Natalia's turns. They had a few good moments too :)
After an hour and a half of having my hair in the foil, we decided it was probably done. Now keep in mind that we were aiming for a honey/carmel color. This is what we got! Don't be confused by the smile, I was totally freaking out at the time!
My highlights were BLEACH BLONDE!!!! Totally not what we were going for! There were even some white parts from it being in for so long! After a few "Oh my gosh!"s and "Holy crap!"s I went and washed out my hair hoping that some of it would come out. I felt bad because Christine was the one who did it and I didn't want her to feel bad for ruining my hair so I just smiled and laughed. In the end, here's how it turned out and I actually really like it! I hate the whole MySpace look of these pictures of taking them in the bathroom through the mirror but you gotta do what you gotta do I guess!
Before
After
Christine and Natalia still have to finish their hair. That's tonight's activity!
